Winter Break

Going away for winter break wasn't stopping me from doing my homework. For the vacation , I went to the Bronx in Fordam. I can take pictures of this community. For Christmas , I went to 2 aeropostale sweaters , boots , cards with money in it , bras , and a bedspread for my bed. I used that money to go to after christmas sales and buy a blazer sneaker. When the sky got nice and sunny , I started to take photos of this niehborhood in the Bronx. I have completed most of my homework anyways. I just have to review it.

Breaking news! Brittany Murphy dies on Sunday morning at age 32. Murphy was born in Atlanta , Georgia and raised in Edison , New Jersey. It happened after she went into full cardain arrest and could not be revived. This article is very interesting to me. She has starred in varuios films. In 2001 , she starred in "Don't say a word" as a troubled young woman. She was also a singer. In the early 90's , she was the lead singer in her own band called "Blessed Soul". In 2002 , she played Nikki in "Spun". She even worked with Eminem , Aston Kutcher , Jessica Alba , and Dakota Fanning. Guess what , she was the voice of Penquin Gloria in "Happy Feet". Murphy married Simon Monjack. This article is interesting because it lets me know things about an actress. It is also sad because she dies on the week of Christmas.

Proggresing : Moving Foward

Now I am almost 1/2 way there. I uploaded some photos of my community but , they are from google so , I cannot use them and I have to take real pics. The bright side is that , this will all be easy to accomplish. By the way , I already did powerpoint / paint. We are going to use a microphone to say something and make a real map and take a pic of it. Thats all there is to the project. Effort and joggle!

Community Project

This week we've been looking at Ms. Sinklers students projects to know what the assignment for our teacher is. Instead of putting it on a board , we are going to put it on a website. It is going to be a slideshow. I started by taking three pictures of my community and uploading it. This is how har into the project , we've gotten.

Thanksgiving Break Week

This week , we've been thankful. In computer class we had to look on Ms. Williams blogspot just because she wasn't here this Wenesday. We did all of her work. There were various assignments done in class. Also , we had to post our graph on our blogspots. We had a short week anyways because everyone went home Wenesday for the 2 break day holiday of Thanksgiving. I went home and shopped for the food right away. It was soooooo gooddd after being cooked. I had a full tummy. That was my week!

It's a link within google ; It's google news. It's an online newspaper. Google News is an automated news channel provided by Google Inc. The main idea is the the Principal Research Scientist of Google. No person is involved in the altering of the front page. There are many stories on it. Google News left beta in January 2006. I don't really use it. Okay ..... it's not interesting enough. It talks about the world , top stories , the U.S. , business , entertainment , sports , health , spotlight , and the most popular.

For example , Google like yahoo that was created by students from Stanford University crawls the web and analyzes how websites link to eachother. Many other websites link to Google. However, Google is the only search engine that is exclusively focused on links-based searching that is currently publicly available for web-wide searching. It's a place where you can find friends and chat with them. Kinda like myspace. Everyones getting one. Me , I already have one. It's a facebook. Facebook is a social network founded in February of 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg. Originally a social network for students of Harvard University, it became a hit on campus and expanded to other colleges. In 2005, Facebook opened itself to high schools, and in 2006, it was open to everyone. Since then, it has experienced tremendous growth ranking only behind MySpace among social networks.Facebook uses the connections of school and work to create strong social networks between people. The popularity of Facebook widgets help people to express their individuality on the network. You should use it. In terms of raw page hits per month, Facebook is the fastest growing social network in the world. This makes it a great place to look for family, friends, or that long-lost someone who you have always wondered about. The ability to search for people based on their high school, college, or place of work makes finding people easier. I have buddies on facebook but , I just joined this year. You can put photos up there.

Even one week before Thanksgiving!!

You think that they give us a break before thanksgivng in school. Na , Banneker gives school work still , epecially in computer class. This week , we've been looking at charts and graphs on Microsoft Excel. Then , our teacher Ms. Williams told us to use the excel to show what our schedule is. I typed down all of my classes , teachers , rooms , and hours of service. After that we sent it to our gmails by uploading it and our google documents. From there , as you can see , we posted it on our blog. It was color coated and neat. Next week , on the week of Thanksgiving , we will do another graph. I found it so easy because all you had to do is copy what you see on your schedule , organize it , and upload it to my email and page. Well , for me it was easy !!

The God In Me : My Religon

Basically , all my life I've been a Christian child. My mom took me to Church every Sunday when I was little and I enjoyed it. Now , I don't go too much every single Sunday but , I go. When I stay over at my grandma's house , I always go to church. It is in the Bronx , Tremont. I know a lot about the bible too and Jesus. I have never been muslim or any other different religon than christian/catholic.

Kilvis from the block

It's Kilvis from the block on sutter and euclid. It used to be riverdale and obsorn until we moved last August due to the increases in pay. As soon as I came into this Cypress Hills Houses neighborhood I knew there were some friendly people. I made a friend name Paula. My mom decorated the house first with ..... you know curtains and stuff. Okay , my neighborhood is not that safe but , not that bad. There is a park close to there , public transportation over there , stores , fast food resturaunts around there , and a mall. It is closer to my friends house , Kharyn. I take he C or A train around there to school. Theres schools around there too. The thing is , I would rather live in Florida or Conneticutt than that.

My auntie Rachel Bueno from Venezuela is having twins! She's been pregnant for two months now. So , you know , we don't know if it is a set of boys or a set of girls. I WANT THEN TO BE IDENTICAL!

Recently a pop star named Micheal Jackson died at the age of 50. He has been rushed to a medical facility to Los Angeles. It was a massive heart attack. Michael Jackson has had his share of fame , fortune and publicity over the years. Very sad to hear this. For homework , I watched a video by Micheal Jackson called "This is it". The caption says that Micheal Jackson and his dancers practice a routine. I think that they were all skilled dancers and it really caught my attention. I want to know if it is a real music video. It was good and HD. I love the way Micheal Jackson used to dance. I would not be in this music video though.

Fun with sports

I attend to Benjamin Banneker Academy which consists of academics and sports. In Benjamin Banneker , I do two sports. I do track and softball. Like I said , I am real good at running in the gym or outside. Also , I signed up for softball in the spanish girls team. The problem is that my mom doesn't let me go because it is too late and after eigth period.

It's Good to go Shopping!

I love those sales. I can't wait to go shopping at Kings Plazas. I wanna visit Charelette Russe , Old Navy , Marshalls , and Victoria Secrets. Those tee's sure are cute. The other day , I purchased 5 Victoria secret lipglosses from the mark : Beauty Rush. The flavors were fuzzy navel , go bannanas , strawberry fizz , cherry baby , and frootloose. Each flavor has it's own unique smell. It's 5 for $20 or 2 for $12. I also went to the old navy "Birthday Sale" and purchased two sweaters , shirts , and scarfs. I love to go shopping. My brother Ruddy got a bergundey Daffy's sweater for middle school. Those jeans from marshalls are going by and the umbrellas are cute too. CHECK IT OUT!

I don't like every single book I see. For books and literature , I mostly like the authors , Roald Dahl or Lemony Snicket. I also look at Andrew Clements , the creator of "Frindle" but these two authors are better. There are various versions for the author Roald Dalh. Here are some examples :

During the summer I read some of these books. The series of unfortunate events # 1 was made into a movie. This is what the review says : The series follows the adventures of three siblings, Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire, after their parents were killed in a fire at the family mansion. In The Bad Beginning, they briefly live with a friend of their parents, Mr. Poe, who is the person in charge of the Baudelaire fortune after the Baudelaire parents' deaths, before being sent to live with Count Olaf, whom Mr. Poe describes as either the siblings' "third cousin four times removed, or their fourth cousin three times removed". My president is black and it's Obama. Barack Obama became president of the United States on January 20th , 2009. My fave Clothing Store

Forever 21 is the best store ever. It has various of styles and you will always catch it on me. I'm used to visiting the one in Kings Plaza's Mall. They sell clothing for teenagers , and women. Most of the time they have prom , party , casual , and summer dresses that wins. The jeans are type cute. There are even sweaters there.

I can't wait to my next visit there. The last time I went , I got tanks , shorts , and summer blouses.

Talents in recreations

Since I was young I enjoyed running around my house. I run track now. I am also a great jogger. I can great speed at running too. While running I would always have water and an i-pod on me. I am a very great swimmer and I love to splish and splash in the cold water. Warm is not my favorite but it doesn't matter. The recreation center on Linden Blvd taught me how to swim and sometimes we even have free time. It was an awaesome experience. When I went to the Dominican Republic I got into the salty water and held on to my brothers hand , Ruddy Mieses Jr. to dive into the water. It was so refreshing. I even rained a little. I can do this anytime!
